Wellness Buddy Terms
Last updated: Date PENDING
These terms apply to Wellness Buddies: members who take audio and video calls on PhonoMe and earn from them. They add to our Terms & Conditions and Community Guidelines. Where the owners’ Terms refer to an “expert” or “service provider”, that means a Wellness Buddy.
1. Who can become a Wellness Buddy
- You are 18 or older and live in India.
- You complete voice verification during sign-up. Our team reviews the recording before your profile goes live.
- You complete Indian KYC before you can withdraw earnings: PAN and a UPI ID in your own name.
2. Your relationship with PhonoMe
You are an independent member of the platform, not an employee of PhonoLabs Private Limited. You choose when to go online, and whether to offer video calls. You act on your own behalf and are responsible for what you say on calls.
3. Conduct
You must follow the Community Guidelines. You must not give medical, legal or financial advice, or present yourself as a therapist or counsellor. If a caller seems to be in crisis, encourage them to call 112 or Tele-MANAS 14416.
4. Earnings and payouts
- Earnings and payout timing are shown in the app. Payout rate and schedule PENDING from owners.
- Payouts are subject to TDS as required by Indian tax law. The TDS rate depends on whether your PAN and UPI details match and on your annual earnings (Terms §11).
- You are responsible for keeping your PAN and UPI details correct. The UPI ID can be changed once every 30 days.
- Payouts are made only to Indian bank accounts or UPI IDs.
5. Your voice, name and profile
By using PhonoMe as a Wellness Buddy you grant PhonoLabs Private Limited a licence to use your display name, avatar, voice and the materials you make available on the app, including for promotion, as described in Terms §17. Owners to confirm: §17 currently covers “image” and “likeness”, but PhonoMe uses avatars, not photos.
6. Suspension and removal
We may suspend or remove a Wellness Buddy profile for breaking these terms, the Terms & Conditions or the Community Guidelines (Terms §9). Earnings from calls that broke the rules may be withheld.
7. Contact
Questions about payouts or your profile: support@phonome.in. Complaints: our Grievance Officer.
