Child Safety Standards
Last updated: Date PENDING
PhonoMe, an app by PhonoLabs Private Limited, has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Our standards
- Adults only. PhonoMe is only for people aged 18 and over. Every user confirms their age at sign-up, and accounts found to belong to minors are removed along with their data (Privacy Policy §8).
- Prohibited. Any content or behaviour that sexualises, grooms, exploits or endangers a child is banned. This includes sexual talk with or about minors, sharing or requesting CSAM, and attempting to contact a child (Terms §19.1).
- Enforcement. Accounts involved in CSAE are permanently banned without warning.
- Reporting to authorities. We report CSAM and child-endangerment cases to Indian law enforcement, including through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in), and we preserve relevant records for investigation as the law requires.
- Design choices. PhonoMe uses avatars instead of photos, never shows phone numbers, and has no public posts or groups.
How to report
- In the app: use the report option on a profile or after a call.
- By email: childsafety@phonome.in. Reports are reviewed as a priority.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call 112 or the Childline 1098 helpline.
